This article will explain the differences between British and American English pronunciation in a simple and understandable way. Although these two variants belong to the same language, there are significant differences in how they sound. The article will specifically explain the different pronunciation of vowels, the omission or clearer pronunciation of certain consonants, as well as differences in stress and intonation through examples. For example, the fact that some words sound the same in the British variant and different in the American variant can be interesting and sometimes complicated for language learners. Also, the pronunciation or not of the /r/ sound in some cases is considered as one of the important differences. The article will analyze how much these differences affect communication and the question of which variant to choose for learners. In general, this study attempts to show differences in pronunciation not as a problem, but as a manifestation of the richness and diversity of the language.
