Maqolada aholining qarishi jarayoni va keksalarni parvarishlash masalalari gerontologik ijtimoiy ish nazariyasi nuqtayi nazaridan tahlil qilingan. Demografik va epidemiologik o‘tish nazariyalari, ijtimoiy gerontologiyaning klassik (ajralish, faollik, uzluksizlik) hamda tanqidiy (qarishning siyosiy iqtisodi, hayot yo‘li, to‘planuvchi tengsizlik) konsepsiyalari qiyosiy o‘rganilgan. BMT, JSST va O‘zbekiston statistika organlarining 2015–2023-yillarga oid ma’lumotlari asosida global va milliy demografik tendensiyalar baholangan. O‘zbekiston uchun "demografik imkoniyat oynasi" davrida oila, mahalla va davlat xizmatlarini uyg‘unlashtiruvchi aralash parvarish modeli asoslangan.
