Abstract

This article explores the importance of immersive language learning as an effective approach to developing communicative competence in a foreign language. Unlike traditional methods that focus primarily on grammar rules and vocabulary memorization, language immersion encourages learners to integrate the target language into their daily lives through authentic communication, cultural engagement, digital resources, and real-world experiences. The study examines the theoretical foundations of experiential language learning and highlights practical strategies that help learners improve their linguistic skills, intercultural awareness, and confidence in communication. The findings suggest that living a language rather than merely studying it significantly enhances language acquisition and promotes long-term retention of knowledge.
