Аннотация

In today’s highly competitive global business environment, many organizations adopt strategic outsourcing to enhance efficiency, lower operational costs, and concentrate more on their core activities. By outsourcing, companies transfer certain operational functions to external providers, allowing them to leverage specialized knowledge, advanced technology, and professional expertise that might not be available internally. However, along with these benefits, outsourcing also introduces several potential risks that require careful management. This study examines the risks and challenges of strategic outsourcing in global business through a systematic literature review. Initially, 58 academic articles were gathered from relevant databases; after screening for relevance and research focus, 28 articles were selected for in-depth analysis. The findings reveal that while outsourcing can improve organizational performance and operational flexibility, it can also pose challenges such as dependence on external vendors, information security threats, loss of strategic control, intellectual property leakage, and coordination issues in global operations. Thus, the results highlight the importance of balancing outsourcing advantages with effective risk management to make more sustainable and informed outsourcing decisions in global business.
